Your Mac, your data
Tuckaroo has no account and no cloud of ours. This page says what it keeps, where, and what it asks macOS for.
What stays on your Mac
- Notes are Markdown files in the folder you choose. If that folder is in iCloud Drive, Apple syncs it, not us.
- Clipboard history is a file in Tuckaroo's own folder, readable only by you. Copies from password managers and copies marked secret are never kept.
- Files stay where they are. Tuckaroo shows folders you choose and never deletes: removed items go to the Trash.
- Web pages keep their sign-ins on your Mac, like a browser does.
What Tuckaroo asks for, and why
- Calendars: only when you click Allow Access, to show your events and the next meeting.
- Paste from other apps: macOS asks before an app reads what you copy; Tuckaroo reads it only when you allow it.
- Accessibility: only if you want ⇧⌘V to paste into the app in front.
What we receive
Nothing, unless you send it: feedback you write, or a crash report you choose to send. Update checks ask our server whether a newer version exists.
Draft. The wording on updates, crash reports and analytics on this website is still being checked.
